Alan & Linda Knowsley recently attended, as voluntary staff, the weekend training for companions and volunteers for the charity Camp Quality. Around 90 volunteers were trained to provide care for children living with cancer on the annual Camp Quality week long camps. A fantastic group of young New Zealanders have put themselves forward to look after the kids. Each volunteer will give up a week of their holidays to help the kids to have fun on the camps and ensure they stay safe.

Both Alan and his wife Linda have been on the Wellington/Central Camp Quality Committee for over 12 years. Off camp, Alan’s responsibilities include fundraising for the camps (which receive no government funding) so please contact him on aknowsley@raineycollins.co.nz if you are able to assist in any way. The next camp will be at Nga Tawa School in Marton in January 2017.
